Description
Fear of falling is from the River meets sea series. Gone fishin’ with Wilf’ and consequently the River meets sea series, both reference the Estuary in Exmouth, Devon, where as a child I fished ( and night fished ) with my father, often climbing down steep cliffs, and these memories now fuel an emotional catalyst for me to explore my experiences and the line between abstraction and scenic recognition during the painting process. Although my work is autobiographical I would like it to evoke an atmosphere which may in turn elicit personal emotional responses for the viewers own sense of « place, » physical or emotional. Signed and dated on the side of the canvas the painting is ready to hang. The canvas is deep edged 4cm.
