With 4 channels of input and output, the US-4x4HR is part of the US-HR Series of Tascam high-resolution USB audio interfaces. It is an enhanced version of the popular US-4×4 model. It features four mic/line inputs, two of which can also be used for direct input from an electric guitar or bass, four balanced line outputs, two headphone jacks, and MIDI input/output for your macOS or Windows computer or your iPhone or iPad*. This interface is ideal for multitrack recording of two instruments and two singers, for example, or for multimedia production that requires ease of use and studio-quality sound. In addition, the built-in loopback function and compatibility with OBS Studio (formerly Open Broadcaster Software) make it an excellent choice for podcasting and live streaming.

All US-HR Series models adopt an exclusive cast aluminum honeycomb physical structure for the sides, with a slight upward slope. This design results in a sleek and attractive look, and provides sufficient footing so that the interface does not shift when connecting or disconnecting cables. Another important aspect is that the upward tilt results in better ergonomics, as the angle makes it easier to use the interface.
