Description
Oil and acrylic painting on canvas from the series Gone fishin’ with Wilf’. Remembering fishing with my father as a child and the changes in the coastal landscape, a metaphor for the passage of time, whilst exploring the fine line between pure abstraction and figurative recognition, between chance and control. The Importance of a groyne so titled because of the stabilising, underpinning effect of both groyne to sand and parent to child.
