Oil on hand-stretched Canvas – Small painting – 25x30cm Stardust I was made in response to the statement At this point in time and was exhibited in the Scottish Arts Club in 2017 alongside it’s companion piece Stardust II. The techinique is a layered ground with a wet on wet surface work. The brushstrokes are refined and delicate and the use of chiaroscuro creates a powerful illumination of the forms. Reminiscent of a deep sea creature. It is a beautiful, evocative painting.
