Description
Sixth Sense was painted after Helen flew in a microlight over the countryside in South Oxfordshire. She was drawn to the patterns and colours within the landscape seen from an aerial perspective. She uses a cold wax medium with the oil paint which allows her to build up textures and scratch into it to reveal the layers beneath. It has been painted on a cradled wood panel which prevents the painting surface from warping. It also gives depth to the panel in which D-rings may be fitted and so the painting may be hung without a frame. The panel is complete with D-rings and cord.
