The GIBSON Original Collection SG Standard ’61 Faded with ’57 Classic Underwound (SG61F5725AYNH3) solid body electric guitar returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played, and loved — shaping sound across generations and genres of music.
In 1961, the Les Paul ™ model was put on hiatus, evolving into a new design what is today known as the SG™ or « solid guitar. » The Gibson SG Standard ’61 retains the styling of the original featuring a SlimTaper ™ mahogany neck and a bound rosewood fingerboard. The mahogany body features deeply sculpted body scarf ing, a teardrop pickguard, and a 22nd-fret neck joint.
’57 Classic Underwound pickups produce traditional sounds with slightly less output level, more clarity, brightness,harmonic content and expressiveness.
