The world seems in turmoil these days, political, environmental, technological. Maybe i’ve become more sensitive to it but it’s easy to let the drip feed of negatives fill your thoughts and overwhelm you. The image is built up slowly using a soft tipped pen on an iPad, choosing brushes, colours, opacity and gradually layering elements till the piece feels complete. It’s then transferred to Photoshop where any extra ink line or texture is scanned in and added, colours are checked to make sure they’re within the printable colour range and then it’s off to a local printers where archival quality inks are used to reproduce the image full size on a heavy, lightly textured paper. Paper size 69cm wide by 90cm high with an image size of 55cm wide by 76cm high
