Solid body electric bass
The DINGWALL Combustion Nashville 6 3-Pickups (Pau Ferro, Whalepool Burst) is an evolution of the original Combustion, enhanced by electronics inspired by the legendary Rupert Neve circuits.
* Pau Ferro, which has the virtue of being one of the most sustainable woods, is tonally positioned between Rosewood and Ebony. Its tight grain gives it a fairly frank attack and a certain clarity, without lacking in roundness.
For those who don’t know, Rupert Neve Designs is the company founded by Rupert Neve, an engineer who revolutionized the world of recording consoles. He went down in history with his 80 Series consoles, whose huge, super-dynamic sound helped define the identity of seventies rock. In London, New York and Los Angeles, the biggest studios chose Neve systems. From 1977 onwards, with the integration of NECAM automation systems, Neve consoles became more essential than ever. Today, Rupert Neve Designs continues this reputation for excellence with high-performance processors and products.
Optimized for professional musicians and experienced amateurs alike, the Combustion Nashville is the modern electric bass par excellence. Ultra-versatile thanks to its Neve active/passive electronics, it offers remarkable tonal balance and just as formidable responsiveness.
With two-band EQ, the ability to switch the circuit to active or passive, and a sophisticated circuit for combining/mixing the three pickups at will, you’ll have a vast collection of sounds at your fingertips.
From Metal to Funk, Hip-Hop to Jazz Fusion, the Combustion Nashville is capable of adapting to most musical styles.
Its ergonomics are top-notch, with a multi-scale neck. An instrument equipped with a multi-diapason fingerboard with fan-shaped frets offers two major advantages:
– optimized string tension for modern tuning (down-tuning) while maintaining optimum intonation
– less muscular and tendon stress
The CN3 is made in China from wood and components sourced in the USA, with final quality control carried out in Canada before international shipment.
Endorsed by renowned bassists such as Lee Sklar and Adam « Nolly » Getgood of Periphery, to name but a few, the Canadian brand Dingwall is well on the way to becoming a major player in the music industry, with creations ranging from the original and modern to the more traditional, sublime in their ergonomics and finish.
It goes without saying that the components used and the manufacturing procedures guarantee stability, accuracy and sound quality of the highest order.
Part of our production has been relocated to China, so that we can continue to offer top-quality instruments at more affordable prices.
