Description
The original idea behind this piece were drawings I made in a forest during a period of light Rain. The sounds of the falling water and the changing light were sufficient content for me to make this piece of work. Having made the collage section I then painted the outside border white and left it out to dry, the border is 8cm wide at the sides, 14cm at the top and 10cm at the bottom. Whilst drying it rained and began to dissolve the still wet paint that surrounded the collage at the top. I saw what was happening to the paint and thought that the more it rained on the piece, the better it looked. I did eventually take the work inside, away from the rain. Having been on loan and then on exhibition here in France( at gallery Dupret et Dupret in Beziers), it is now for sale.
