Description
This was painted after Helen went on a flight in a microlight. She was interested in patterns within the landscape; seeing it flattened from above. She uses a cold wax medium with oil paint which allows her to build up textures and scratch into it to reveal the layers below. It has been painted on a cradled wood panel. This prevents the painting surface from warping. It also gives depth to the board and the D- rings can be fitted without any chance of them damaging the surface of the painting. This also means that the painting may be hung as it is without a frame. The board is complete with D-rings and cord.
