55 x 46cm Mixed media using acrylics, watercolours and pastels. Waterlilies are a seemingly unavoidable subject for an artist that paints mainly waterscapes. There is such a sense of nostalgia in this canvas; memories of easy summer days, no responsibilities, just the desire to be amongst the reeds with the frogs and the birds, looking closer at the microcosm of life on the water’s edge. This original artwork uses a unique combination of acrylic and watercolour paints and pastels on a 3.5cm deep, gallery wrapped canvas. It is protected from dust and UV light by a thin layer of varnish. The sides are painted black, giving this artwork a highly contemporary finish. Framing is not required. The artwork is signed on the front and provided with a certificate of authenticity.
