GLD11E is y fully representative of Takamine’s philosophy, nice to play, versatile, practical, with an attractive price. Its short scale (630 mm) makes this instrument a joy to play.
It also features Takamine TP-3G preamp with three band EQ and integrated tuner, facilitating capture on stage and during studio recordings.

Used during decades in boat and airplane building, west african native Okoume is a great low density tonewood for electric guitars (John Suhr has been using it for many years).
Sonically, it can be considered as Mahogany with a brighter high end and more dynamic range, improving the clarity of the guitar.
Fingerboard is made of Brazilian Cherry / Jatoba. It is a tonewood very similar to Pau Ferro. Its warm tone is tempered by a snappy attack. In between Rosewood and Maple.
