Description
Frond, or Frond from Ghana, is a reworking from colour sketches made by the artist during a working fortnight in the West African country in February 2017. The artist says that he gets little from a first trip because all impressions are new, that it is from second and subsequent visits that he finds some articulation for what he is seeing. Nevertheless, the boldness in Frond does suggest that some influence from his visit was absorbed.
