Looper effect pedal

FLAMMA FF20 Looper & Drum Machine (Orange) supports up to 300 minutes of stereo audio, 100 memory slots, and when combined with the larger storage space, this greatly expands the number and complexity of loop-based compositions and performances that users can use the pedal for at any given moment.

Of course, the FF20 includes the same intuitive control features as the original popular FF01, mapping its dual-footswitch system to provide buttons to record, overdub, playback, clear, cancel, stop, undo, and redo loops. However, two new major functions have been added to this looping arsenal.

Firstly, an Auto Record feature will start recording a loop immediately when an input signal at a specified threshold is detected. Essentially, this prevents the need for perfectly timed manual footswitch presses, ensuring loops are accurate to the millisecond.
Secondly, the Time Stretch function adds immense flexibility to any loop, allowing it to be slowed or sped up to match any BPM, without the pitch being altered.

Outside of looping, though, the FF20 boasts an entirely new set of features that the FF01 did not have: a drum machine. This allows users to craft loops along to a rhythmic backing track, without the need for band members to be present. To work with different genres of music, 11 groove styles are available, each of which has 20 rhythmic patterns.

In terms of user interface, the FF02 is kept minimalistic and tidy. A 2-inch screen is found at the center of the device, providing clear function status and parameter details.
To the left is a looper volume dial, and to the right is the menu encoder, used for navigating the screen’s menu, adjusting parameters, and activating looper functions. Three separate buttons are also provided to activate Auto Record mode, the drum machine, and tap tempo functionality. Finally, the two footswitches are multifunctional, controlling various edit controls of the looper and drum machine while also primarily serving as save slot browsers.

Finally, in typical FLAMMA style, the company has ensured that the FF20 facilitates a flexible range of audio routing options. Both the 1/4″ inputs and outputs are presented with stereo ports, although they are also usable in mono mode if preferred. A 3.5mm headphone output is also used, allowing any guitarist to continue jamming silently when necessary. A USB Type-C port is also provided for connection to the computer software, as well as for firmware upgrades.
