My abstract landscapes document the shift of light over my local landscape. I live in rural Aberdeenshire and the weather has a huge effect on the terrain. Some days the fields are lit up by a shaft of bright light and the tones of the colours change completely. When I return the next day however,there is nothing special about that view, it was just a trick of the light. This body of work plays with themes relating to harmony and the fleetingness of time.
