50 x 50cm Mixed media using gold leaf on box canvas This piece has a somewhat lighter, slightly more abstract feel than the others in the « Distant Horizons » series, with the sunlight breaking through a soft layer of cloud, to hit the hillside. This original artwork uses a unique combination of gold leaf, acrylic and watercolour paints and pastels on a 3.5cm deep, gallery wrapped canvas. It is protected from dust and UV light by a thin layer of varnish. The painting continues around the sides of the piece, making this highly contemporary painting seem even larger than it is.
