50 x 50cm Mixed media using gold leaf on box canvas The watery, smooth feel to this painting is balanced by the rough texture of the raw canvas left exposed at the top. The warmth of the palette draws the viewer into the scene until it almost feels as though you are standing on the water’s edge. This original composition uses a unique combination of gold leaf, acrylic and watercolour paints and pastels on a 3.5cm deep, gallery wrapped canvas. It is protected from dust and UV light by a thin layer of varnish. The sides are painted black, giving this artwork a highly contemporary finish. Framing is not required.
