Description
The piece titled ‘Ariel’ is from my latests show in Chelsea New York in November 2016. In this series the faces of the characters are removed to leave negative space which allows the viewer to explore the piece on a more personal level. It encourages the viewer to ask questions about their own relationship with the characters and how they represent elements of our own psyches. Ariel is an interesting subject she represents letting go of other peoples expectations in order to develop and how this is a key aspect of creativity. The paintings from this series are a exploratory mix of abstract expressionism and pop art.
