The Advanced Acoustic series represents an important step forward in the long and storied tradition of the acoustic guitar. In what amounts to a fully reimagined acoustic experience, these instruments were designed from the ground up to deliver a richer, brighter, and louder tone, with an unprecedentedly wide dynamic range.
With the concept of Advanced Acoustics –  »Reimagining Acoustic Experience » in mind, Ibanez carefully designed the new body shape of the Advanced Auditorium, drawing on our research into the general Auditorium body shape. After many rounds of prototyping, the Advanced Auditorium body has a slightly wider waist, which has been moved slightly towards the neck. Thanks to these changes, this shape delivers a richer low mids and better body to weight balance, which conventional Auditorium bodies tend to lack.
The Advanced Acoustic series pushes the acoustic guitar to new heights, in a way that promises an exciting new experience for all players.

Through intensive research and development, Ibanez have designed the A.I.R.port with a unique internal structure that reflects sound waves and guides them to exit from a precisely positioned sound hole. As a result, players can monitor what they are playing more clearly, which enhances the overall playing experience.
– X-M Bracing
After spending years of trial-and-error, Ibanez realized the out-of-the-box X-M Bracing to generate the ultimate sound standing out on the stage. The carefully designed scalloped X-bracing, the allocation of tone braces, and finger braces transmit the string vibration efficiently through the bridge to the body. The X-M Bracing creates the clear bottom and crispy treble sound with trimmed warm mid-range, yet provides a wide dynamic range and high response.

The fingerboard is made of Purpleheart. It’s a dense tonewood recalling brazilian Rosewoods.
