Description
This original wood engraving shows London’s seat of government, the Houses of Parliament, as viewed from Victoria Embankment and framed by one of George John Vulliamy’s iconic ‘dolphin’ lamp standards. These lamps – which despite their name depict intertwined sturgeon – line both sides of the Thames in central London. Note: actual image size 13x18cm. Hand-printed on a larger sheet of paper, with margins of at least 5cm on each side to allow for mounting and framing.
