Description
In this painting the proportions, both in scale and color temperature here are exquisite, and reveal a deep spiritual experience that is at the same time earthy and sensual. The edges of the shapes give them a different quality both visually and in terms of content. They are not bands or fields, they are something indefinable, yet have a powerful spacial presence. As in most of Andrew’s work, there is a sense that there is a world outside the painting, and that too, he invites us to discover.
