Description
In this recent piece, the artist is introducing a miniature cartoon couple as a counterbalance to her more fragile looking elongated figures. Like her elongated figures they are outsiders living in their own world but unlike the elongated figures, they bring a smile on her face, which she hopes they will on the viewer as well. The background of the painting remains more or less the same, wasted walls, built up by different layers of sand and paper and finished with oil paint. The dark door opening invites the viewer to look beyond the first appearance.
