The GIBSON USA Artist Collection Limited Edition Jake Kiszka SG Standard solid body electric guitar (SG61JK25FVNH1) is the signature model of Greta Van Fleet’s guitarist. Rooted in Gibson tradition, it features the fundamental design of the legendary SG of the early 1960s (production of the original Les Paul Model was put on standby in 1961). Kiszka proclaims a visceral connection with the particular instrument that helped define him as an artist. Inspired by his personal 1961 Gibson SG, this is a characteristically vintage model with traditional specifications: solid mahogany body and set neck (SlimTaper profile), 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The pickups on the Jake Kiszka SG Standard are Gibson T-Type Humbuckers. They deliver punchy, articulate tones, with raging yet musical highs. Each pickup has its own volume and tone controls, as well as Orange Drop capabilities praised for their reliability and tonal stability. The hardware is also respectful of the instrument’s vintage spirit, with a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge that lets you adjust the pitch and intonation of each string, and Gibson Vintage Deluxe tuning machines with Keystone Button.
The tailpiece is not really a Sideways Vibrola vibrato! Only the cap has been retained for visual purposes, but it has been modified so that the strings can be attached to it like on a classic Stopbar Tailpiece.
